Dr. Christine Lovato, Bariatric Surgeon

Christine Lovato, MD, FACS is a board-certified surgeon specializing in bariatric surgery at Banner -University Medicine Obesity and Bariatric Surgery Center in Phoenix, Arizona. She earned her medical degree at the University of New Mexico School of Medicine, where she also concluded her Internship. She completed her General Surgery Residency at St. Joseph’s Hospital and Medical Center and her Fellowship in Minimally Invasive Bariatric Surgery at Alta Bates Summit Medical Center.

Dr. Lovato is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS). She is a proud member of the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery (ASMBS) and the Society of American Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgery (SAGES).

In her spare time, Dr. Lovato is passionate about reading, co-ed soccer, and hiking. She enjoys spending quality time with her husband and son.
