    Dr. Gary C. Harrington, a board certified General Surgeon, is a specialist in Bariatrics, Colon and Rectal Surgery, Oncology, and Laparoscopic Surgery. He received his medical degree from Washington University School of Medicine, in St. Louis, Missouri. Dr. Harrington continued his surgical training at the Medical College of Virginia located in Richmond, Virginia. During this program he served as Attending Consultant for Surgical Grand Rounds at McGuire Veterans Adminstration Hospital. He also has an extensive research background as a Post Doctorial Fellow in Cardiology as well as Pharmacology. Some of his publications include: Myocardial protection with pinacidil cardioplegia in the blodd-perfused heart. (Ann Thorac Surg 1996), Improved nonthoractomy defibrillation based on ventricular fibrillation waveform characteristics. (PACE 1996). Dr. Harrington is currently a member of the National Medical Association, American Medical Association, Richmond Medical Society, Richmond Academy of Medicine, and The American Society for Bariatric Surgery to name a few. He has an extensive background and training in laparoscopic surgery and serves as a preceptor for training other surgeons in the area laparoscopic bariatric surgery for Ethicon Endo Surgery Division of Johnson & Johnson. Dr Gary Harrington is a highly qualified and sought after surgeon for laparoscopic procedures. He understands the needs and desires of his patients to reclaim their health and lives.     He did a friend of mine a few years ago but I have not able to locate him. I heard he is now in Virginia? Does anyone have his new office number? I would like to schedule a meeting

    Dr. Harrington is very prefessional and patient and tells your like it is. I would strongly suggest that Dr. Harrington be added to your list of possible surgeons to consider if your having surgery in the DC Metro area.
