He earned his Bachelor of Science (BS) at Rutgers University College of Engineering, his Doctor of Medicine (MD) at the University of Medicine & Dentistry – NJ Medical School, and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) through Rutgers University Graduate School of Business. He completed his internship at North Shore Medical Center and his general surgery residency at St. Barnabas Medical Center, where he also served as Chief Resident. He has also completed specialized training for Adjustable Gastric Banding, Advanced Laparoscopic Skill and Suturing, Laparoscopic Bariatric Surgery, and Robotic Surgical techniques. Dr. Bilof is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS) and the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery (FASMBS), and a member of the American Society of Bariatric Physicians (ASBP). Dr. Bilof was the Section Chief for the MBSAQIP® Bariatric Program at St. Barnabas Medical Center and is the former VP of the New Jersey Chapter of the ASMBS. As a leader among his peers, Dr. Bilof has been named Top Surgeon by the Consumers’ Research Council of America and is a multi-year winner of the Top Doc award through NJ Monthly. He has also been recognized by his patients through the I Love My Doc campaign and the Patient Choice Award. Dr. Bilof has also authored many abstracts, posters, and presentations.
