Dr. John Cheregi is a General and Bariatric surgeon at Centegra Hospital Woodstock and McHenry. He is Board Certified by the American Board of Surgery. He completed his fellowship in Advanced Laparoscopy and Bariatric Surgery in Iowa City, IA in 2013 and finished his residency in General Surgery was at the University of Illinois Metropolitan Group Hospitals. He has authored and co-authored numerous weight loss surgery and general surgery publications.   Dr. Cheregi has a passion for helping patients and understands the medical complexities behind obesity. He uses a personalized approach with each patient, ensuring they receive an individualized care and helps them choose the weight loss procedure that will be most effective.
