Dr. Salvador Ramirez, Bariatric Surgeon
Salvador Ramirez, MD brings his surgical expertise as part of the ALO Bariatrics team in Mexico. He is known as one of the most skilled bariatric surgeons in Mexico. As a board-certified surgeon, Dr. Ramirez specializes in minimally invasive weight loss surgery.
Dr. Ramirez earned his medical degree from Autonomous University of San Luis Potosi, Faculty of Medicine and trained in General Surgery at Hospital Regional, IMSS. Endorsed by Universidad de Guadalajara. He is fellowship-trained in minimally invasive surgery and completed specialized training in Advanced Trauma Life Support at the American College of Surgeons (ACS) and advanced training in Endoscopic Surgical Stapling and Hernia repair. Dr. Ramirez believes in paying it forward and teaches other fellows and surgeons in advanced laparoscopy. He is a recognized Surgeon of Excellence and has received numerous awards for his work in the field of bariatrics.
Dr. Ramirez is a member of The International Federation for the Surgery of Obesity and Metabolic Disorders (IFSO), the Medical Association of Jalisco, Mexico, the Mexican College of Surgery for Obesity and Metabolic Diseases (CMCOEM), the Mexican Association of Endoscopic Surgery (AMCE), the Medical Society of Autonomous University of Guadalajara, the Mexican Council of General Surgery (CMCG), and the Medical Society of Security and Social Services.
