ABOUT DR. SALIMITARI, WEIGHT LOSS SURGEON Shahram Salimitari, MD is a fellowship trained laparoscopic / bariatric surgeon in Los Angeles. He graduated with honor from the University of California, Irvine and earned a Master’s Degree in Physiology from the Chicago Medical School. In pursuit of his lifelong dream of becoming a surgeon, he obtained his M.D. degree from the Chicago Medical School. Dr. Salimitari undertook his General Surgery residency at Mount Sinai Hospital in Chicago and continued his training with a fellowship in minimally invasive surgery specializing in advanced laparoscopic and bariatric surgery at the University of South Florida. Upon completing his surgical training, Dr. Salimitari moved to California, and founded the West Medical Center. His main focus in practice is the highest level of care for all patients. Dr. Salimitari shares his personal cellphone numbers with all his patients and has always made himself available to his patients. He consults with patients throughout the Southern California area and specializes in weight loss surgery with a focus in Minimally Invasive and Robotic Weight Loss Surgery. Dr. Salimitari believes that active involvement in the care of his patients is crucial to helping them attain their goals for a healthier life.
