Laurie Duquette McGinley, DNP, MSN, CNS-BC, APN, CBN – Nationally Certified Bariatric Nurse and Nationally Certified in Adult HealthLaurie graduated with a Masters of Science from the University Of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center. She has been working exclusively with bariatric patients for over ten years in both hospital and outpatient settings. She started with Western Bariatric Institute in 2005, providing a strong background in research and teaching. Laurie enjoys the involvement that she has with both pre- and post-operative patients during our education classes and also through one-on-one meetings with patients during her three days of clinic per week. She is the past president of the National Association of Bariatric Nurses. Laurie is currently involved with the Nevada Nurse’s Association on the Legislative Committee and recently completed her Doctorate of Nursing Practice at the University of Nevada, Reno, graduating with honors.
