Michael D. Cordia Physician Assistant (PA) MPAP, PA-C

Michael has been assisting Dr. Peter LePort and our other LAP-BAND® or Realize System and gastric bypass surgeons since 2007 as a member of the Smart DIMENSIONS™ bariatric team. Prior to his work in bariatrics, Mike’s training included general surgery, orthopaedic surgery, primary care, and emergency medicine. Mike graduated with a Master’s in Physician Assistant Practice from the Keck School of Medicine at USC. Prior to his Master’s, Mike earned a BA in Psychology, minor in Sociology and Asian American Studies, at the University of California, Irvine. On a lighter note, prior to becoming a PA, Mike was a professional dancer, teaching break dancing and performing for over 10 years.
