Detlev Erdmann Plastic Surgeon MD, PhD, MHSc, FACS

Born and raised in Germany, Dr. Detlev Erdmann attended medical school in Berlin and Munich,  Germany until 1990. He is board-certified in General Surgery (1998), Plastic Surgery (2000) and  Hand Surgery (2003) in Germany and became US board-certified in Plastic Surgery in 2013.  Dr.  Erdmann was appointed Associate Professor of Surgery with tenure in September 2010 to  present.  He is also appointed Professor of Plastic Surgery of the University of Heidelberg,  Germany since 2006.    Dr. Erdmann enjoys working in an academic environment and being able to cover a variety of  plastic surgery cases. His passion is to work with patients who experienced a significant weight  loss, such as after gastric bypass surgery, which are commonly known as "body contouring".
