    Meet the Doctor To become a plastic surgeon, one must complete a broad, thorough education, which includes college, medical school, and five to eight years of postgraduate surgical training before becoming certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery, Inc. The plastic surgeon is trained to pay meticulous attention to detail, to exercise sound judgment and to use his technical expertise to renew the spirit as the patient heals the body. Originally from Westfield, New Jersey, Dr. Morrison graduated from Princeton University in 1976 with a degree in religion (medical ethics), and from Duke University Medical School. He completed general surgery training at Case Western Reserve University and New York Medical College in Westchester, New York. His plastic surgery training was done at the Ohio State University Hospital where he later served as clinical assistant professor of surgery. Board-certified in plastic and reconstructive surgery, Dr. Morrison is an active member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons. He is also a member of the Columbus Medical Association. Dr. Morrison has been practicing plastic surgery since 1988. Among his professional accomplishments, Dr. Morrison has served as Chief of Staff of Mount Carmel East Hospital and Medical Staff President of Mount Carmel Health System. Presently, he serves on the Central Credentials Committee for the Mount Carmel Health System Hospitals. Dr. Morrison has participated in many community education forums throughout Central Ohio as an invited speaker on a variety of plastic and cosmetic surgery. He is presently lecturing on body contouring following massive weight loss and gastric bypass. In the community Dr. Morrison served eight years as a Big Brother including two years on the Board of Directors for the Columbus and Franklin County Big Brothers/Big Sisters Association. Outside of work, Dr. Morrison, enjoys spending time with his wife, Karen, and his two daughters. His hobbies include theater, reading, playing piano, running, swimming, and caring for “Miles”, the family’s Portuguese Water Dog.
