What type of protein do you use in your Syntrax® protein powders?
Syntrax® Nectar® is manufactured using high-quality, whey protein isolate. Syntrax® Matrix™ is manufactured using a combination of the following three high-quality proteins: whey protein, micellar casein and egg albumin (egg white protein).
What is the recommended dosage for Syntrax® products?
Enjoy 1-3 full-scoop protein beverages daily or as recommended by your health care provider to meet a specific protein need.
Can Syntrax® Nectar® Lattes and Nectar® Sweets protein powder be heated? Does heat break down the protein?
Syntrax® Nectar® Lattes and Nectar® Sweets protein powder can be heated - it will not break down the protein in our formula. However, Nectar® protein should not be boiled. For best results, we recommend heating the mixed protein beverage for 10-15 second increments, for up to a minute, making sure to stir after each increment is completed.
Can Syntrax® protein powder be frozen?
Yes, you can mix your favorite flavor of Syntrax® protein and freeze for a fun frozen protein treat!
Which Syntrax® protein products contain caffeine?
Nectar® Lemon Tea contains caffeine that is naturally occurring in the black tea extract. A full scoop of Nectar® Lemon Tea contains about ~47mg, which is comparable to the amount found in a typical cup of black tea.
Nectar® Lattes Caramel Macchiato and Vanilla Latte each contain 100mg of caffeine per full scoop. Our Nectar® Lattes Cappuccino is caffeine free.
How much phosphorus (in mg) is in Syntrax® Nectar® protein powder?
Syntrax® Nectar® flavored protein contains between 80-85mg of phosphorus per full scoop. Syntrax® Nectar® Medical Unflavored protein contains between 35-40mg of phosphorus per full scoop.
Are Syntrax® products gluten-free?
Syntrax® Nectar® flavors are gluten-free with the exception of Nectar® Sweets Double Stuffed Cookie. The Syntrax® Nectar® Sweets Double Stuffed Cookie contains cookie pieces which are not gluten-free.
Matrix™ 2.0 and 5.0 contain glutamine peptides and are not gluten-free.
Are Syntrax® protein powders lactose-free?
Syntrax® Nectar® protein powders are lactose-free. Syntrax® Matrix™ 2.0 and 5.0 contain micellar casein (milk protein) and are not lactose-free.
Does Syntrax® offer any all-natural protein powders?
Yes, the Syntrax® Nectar® Naturals line uses only natural ingredients. Nectar® Naturals contain a proprietary stevia extract, which is standardized for a very high content of rebaudioside A. This component of stevia is very clean-tasting with very little bitterness or aftertaste. The Syntrax® Nectar® Medical is an unflavored, all-natural whey protein isolate protein powder.
What is the difference between Syntrax® Matrix™ 2.0 and Syntrax® Matrix™ 5.0?
The only difference between the two products is the size and type of packaging. Syntrax® Matrix™ 2.0 is sold in a gallon size plastic bottle and weighs 2 pounds. Syntrax® Matrix™ 5.0 is sold in a laminated plastic bag and weighs 5 pounds.
