Mental Illness

I want to know has anybody, or anybody know of anybody that has lost a massive amount of weight & knows of anybody that has had developed any mental problems, due to the chemicals changing in there bodies?? My bipolar disorder has come out!! I have paranoia & very high energy with this. Yes, I am under a doc's care & a therapist, so that part is taken care of........May take a day or so to get back to you, so be patient...... thanks 572/455/ 315

Hi Step, I haven't heard of that before - I'm sure it's due to their usually doing a psych eval before approval. I know stuff to do with hormone levels and such were affected - and my irregular heart beat came back with a vengence as well. I would expect anything that depends on body chemicals, whether naturally or medically, could be affected by losing a lot of weight. I hope you get your bi-polar under control soon. Dawn
