low carb means no cheating

I have been in a stall for the last month.  So I cut my carbs down to almost nothing, ate clean protein and drank my shakes, and worked my diet.  I could tell by the smell of my urine I was going into ketosis.  Yea!  (It takes a lot to get me into ketosis.)

Then I ate a piece of cheese bread!  cool

And I dropped out of ketosis.  All that hard work...  It takes me 5-7 days to get into ketosis, so eating any simple carbs is turning this whole thing into a ground hog day.blush

Lesson learned.  Cheating just a little can be enough to set you back for the week.

I hear you!  I think I might have gotten a non-skinny cinnamon dolce latte from Starbucks yesterday even though they swore it was skinny. I saw a gain on the scale this morning. cheeky Not too bad but I'm starving today to make up for it. Weigh-in on the LW board is tomorrow morning and I want to at least be the same as last week.

No need to go skinny, ask them to use light cream we dont need to worry about fat or calories

I am 4 months out. I only lost 15.5 lbs over the last 2 mo. (51.5 total out of 120 total to lose) I know I've been eating too much and xercising not at all. We have been in chaos of sorts. 88 yr old mom having med. problems; doing caretaking. Sold house moving out of state. Living at moms house. full of carbs. terrified i am blowing it.

It doesn't sound like you're far off most WL targets but the stress is probably eating you up.  I hope you can slowly switch out the carby stuff for proteiny stuff.
