I met this awesome young lady in pre-op class, we just it off. She was so funny & made the class laugh. We exchanged phone numbers after class. Little did I know she would change my life. My surgery was set for 2 weeks , Mary's 3 weeks. She didn't tell me she this was her last chance to live, she need a heart transplant.& had to lose 150 lbs to get in the list.We both had some medical stuff that keep as in the hospital, so we were like roommates ! The nurses just knew we would be together when they needed i of us. We laughed & cried a lot. In December she felt good enough to the St V' Party , she wore a teal suit, had that beautiful blond hair done and most of all her worn ASS KICKIN BOOTS for me. She shined ! Six days later Mary passed away. We knew each other a total of 72 days but seemed like so much more.

Our dear Dawn's ( I'm on my way) mother had a heart attack last week-end. We all know Karen from all the clothing exchanges she helped with.
Scot & I just got back from visiting Dawn, we took her up some WLS food. They have a suite at the hospital. Dawn is a very caring person & hasn't had time to get on line. Karen is in the Heart Hospital at St Francis @ Stop 11 & Emerson.Dawn & her Family have a suite in the hospital.
She wanted some food she could eat, she said not a lot in the cafeteria. Dawn was my surgery angel & still one on the best friend I have ever had & she loves her OH family. Please keep her family in your prayers, they are needed so much.

Just wanted to shared that today is my 3rd year anniversary of my RNY. I have had so many wow moments it's so hard to believe. I also want to thank my awesome OH family for the endless hours of support.I would do it all over again. I feel so blessed.

I would like to tell you all how much your cards have meant to me & my family. The arrangement of purple silk flowers sent to the funeral home are just beautiful was told to send home with me.And the fresh flowers sent to me at home, made me smile every time, I passed them. This afternoon while at my dear friend Phil's calling, I was looking at all the beautiful flowers & plants. And, someone sent a beautiful arrangement signed from my OH family. I had received some at home too. Every time I pass them (the ones at home) I smile & think of all the joy Phil brought to my family. I am not sure who to thank, but you brought smiles though all my families tears, My daughter Becca is grieving so much, I am trying to stay strong for both my daughters, it's tough but I need to be there for them. Thank you all for keeping us in your prayers.

Shanna, I had a good time with you yesterday !!!!! I had a visit fm Floyd & Brenda today !! The front porch has had lots of visits this summer. I think I will have to take the chairs pillows in don't want anyone to leave with a wet behind !!!!! I love being out there, I didn't even realize what I was missing. Thank you Scot, for showing me the way.Shanna, I will always have a chair with your name on it. And I liked your idea of QVC shopping while out there.

Update on my friend Phil, he's doing better. He told me to stay home today he has a day of tests and PT planned all day. He said I looked tired and he would be right.

Hello All,

I am here to ask for prayers for my dear friend Phil. He fell and broke his hip. The surgery was very hard on his body, he needs hernia repair but his doctor didn't think he would make it though. Phil is a real fighter and says he still has some living to do.

I think of all my OH family daily and miss you all so much.

Good Morning Lisa & Tracy !

"WOW" moments ...... I have so many. I am so blessed.
I think my very first one was when I tried to fit myself in a booth when having lunch with some of my OH family. I think that moment was shared with Dawn, Hope, Sherri, Ellen,& Jacqui. It felt wonderful !!!!!! I think I cried.
I can sit in all our lawn furniture, something I haven't been able to do in way over 10 years. And wear those awesome size 6 Capri's, Lisa, you brought me. I love them.
I too, feel blessed to have had my RNY!

Let's keep those "wow" moments coming !!!!!!!!
