Hi everybody

I found this blog very interesting.  Dr. Davis himself posted this on the site for Weight Loss Forever in Saskatoon.  Dr. Davis & his father have done shows on TV about grossly obese patients having weight loss surgery called "Big Medicine".

I found it extremely interesting that further down in a blog dated Feb 13 he says high protein intake from shakes and meat is not necessary and may actually be detrimental to weight loss.  That's a 180 degree turn-around from what I've been led to believe. Maybe I don't need to be so worried about how to get in all that protein after all. He stresses lots of vegetables, fruits and plant-based protein in beans, etc.

P.S.  I should add that the postop diet info from Obesity Control Center, where I had my surgery, states 30 g of protein a day is what to aim for, but I thought that was awfully low from what I had read was recommended in other places.
