Can anyone recommend a Hematologist?

Hello everyone

I'm having trouble with absorbing Iron and would greatly benefit from an iron transfusion. Problem is, my levels are just barely still within range but are sinking.
Do any of you know a good hematologist in the Triangle area that is familar with bariatric surgery patients and their needs?

Thanks in advance.

I see Dr. JoEllen Speca at Rex Hematology.   I've got some other non-RNY issues but she definitely understands the restrictions from my RNY.

Dr. Mark Yoffee at the Cancer Centers of NC across from Rex.  He's my hematologist and I love him.

Good Luck

Hi Christy.
I  looked up Dr. Yoffee and don't see him listed with Cigna unfortunately. I do have an appointment on Thursday with a hematologist that my PCP referred me to but have no idea if he is weight-loss surgery friendly or not.  Keeping my fingers crossed it goes well!
Thank-you!
