Is there a support group in Long Island (Nassau County)

Hi there! I live in California but we have a house in Long Island and will be spending a month there  it looks like. I will be about a month out when we arrive and I would love to be able to meet other people with the VSG or any other weightloss surgery for support. We will be staying in East Meadow and it looks like arriving on/around July 12 to Aug 12 or so.

Yes, there is a large Support Group in Nassau County.
It meets the 4th Thursday of the month. The next one is 6/23 @ 6:30
July's meeting is 7/28

There is also one in Suffolk County

The name of the group is LIPO (Long Island Post-Ops)
They also have a Facebook page.

This group is facilitated by Maryellen Ruggiero & Frank Surace

They meet at the Island Trees Public Library in Levittown
