Hey everyone. Just a question about twh. Do they have gowns that will fit us when we go in for surgery? or are the gowns normal sized as other hospitals?

Thanks

Thanks for asking this - I was wondering the same thing!! Those "normal size" gowns don't even fit my toe!

I had my surgery last December, and I don't recall the gowns being any bigger (or smaller) than the standard size.

I did wear two gowns though - one in the front and the other in the back, so I wouldn't have any 'embarassing' moments - just ask for two gowns when they move you into your room.

I did the two gown thing for modesty as much as anything..mooning the entire floor when i did my toddles up and down the hall wasn't high on my list of "must do's" while at the hospital.

I had mine at St.Joe's in Toronto. The gown did fit and they give you one to wear backwards like a housecoat. I was 300 pounds and still had room. If you aren't comfortable they may have even larger ones or a nice flannel blanket to use as a shawl.

This is off-topic because it doesn't have to do with TWH but I had a humungazoid gown in Montreal. It was a green colour when the normal are blue so it was a bit of a fashion faux pas but I was glad for the comfort.

Hi Jennifer,
I had a question I wanted to ask you about your DS but I can't send you a message. Would you mind sending me a message on here so I can write you back with my question?

I just had surgery on friday morning and the gown that they handed me was an 8xl so yes they are plenty big enough the gowns. They do still give you 2 so you can cover your butt lol. TWH is amazing an hospital with amazing staff.
