if you were at the windsor clinic today, you may have made my day!

i went to the windsor clinic for my 1 year follow up today. a lady came into the waiting room and sat next to me for a minute. then she turned to me and said, "hi.." i looked up and she said, "i want to be like you." i laughed and said thank you. she said, "but you didn't have it, did you?" she thought i was waiting for someone. i told her that i had the surgery almost a year ago and she was like, "you are soo tiny!" another lady in the waiting room chimed in and told me how good i look. i didn't even know what to say! so the first lady went in, and when she came back out, i was going in. she looked at me and said, "did you get reconstructive?" and i said no. as i walked in to my appointment, she turned to the other lady and said, "she is gorgeous, isn't she?"

it made me feel so good, and i hope that is gives the people going through the process some hope. i never thought that i would get called "tiny" or be an inspiration to other people. it's an amazing feeling.

Those women saw what WE all see in you.  In a word "gorgeous" - both inside and out. XO

that is the best compliment, coming from a complete stranger.

Cherish those.

I find myself complimenting women and men all the time on how nice they look, their style, even if it's just a nice shirt or tie. we don't do it often enough, and like you said, it made your day.

You are gorgeous! that's awesome. I love love love being in the waiting room when i go to my appointments. I'm almost sorry when i have to leave, especially when I've connected with someone, either pre or post op.
I love this camaraderie i can develop with almost perfect strangers.

You are gorgeous, so they were only being truthful!

Had RNY surgery July 22/11, St. Joe's Hamilton, with the awesome Dr. Scott Gmora.  Had abdominoplasty August 2/13, Scarborough, with equally awesome Dr. Michael Kreidstein.
