Can Protein Turn into Fat
I just read this very interesting article online and thought I would share it with the board.
I read in a reputable magazine yesterday that the Diabetic Associaiton (USA) stated that extra protein is turned into fat, which left me the desire to read more..

Well, i think their wording of the issue is off. Protein cant "turn into" fat. Just like lead can't be turned into gold.
The excess energy of protein that you take in, can be stored as fat. The carbohydrates you eat in excess can be stored as fat. Anything you eat, in excess of what your body needs, can be stored as fat.
