Well that didn't go as planned

So after my much anticipated Surgeons appt I still don't have a date

... I got to meet alot of great Dr's today, 3 surgeons, 2 residents and the Chief of surgery! Apparently I'm a bit of medical oddity lol! My appt was at 9:30 and I didn't leave TWH until 12:30

I do know my surgery will definately be a VSG not RNY, an RNY is absolutely unequivically out of the question for me due to the Lynch Syndrome and not being able to scope the remaining stomach. I will need a scope and colonoscopy done at TWH before I can move forward...I should have that appt book by Monday as the woman who usually books the scopes was off sick today.

Well, the waiting game continues!

On a side note: Christie it was great meeting you today!

I am glad it's moving forward, even if at a slower than hoped for pace, and that you're being we'll looked after by the team at TWH.

I'm sorry to hear that today was so disappointing for you but I'm sure the surgeons are being very careful about how they proceed.

I did want to mention to you about the colonoscopy? I've had a couple of these done. Not a big deal. The only part that does require attention is the prep medication that they give you for it? I swear it will clean you out from one end to the other and if you feel you need to "pass gas?" DONT BE FOOLED~~~~! lol..
