Be patient, take all the care they give. Better to go home when issues are no longer a concern.

Hope things improve quickly- hang in there.

Hope you are feeling better soon !  I agree with the others, stay where the care is for as long as they want you to.

I stayed an extra night and my DH had to stay an extra 2.

Take care !

If you are still there on Monday, and are up for some company, please let  me know.  I am at TWH for the entire day for WLS followup and a few other things.  Would love to drop by and say hi.

Dr Jackson is around 37 or so.  Looks about 22.  Big beautiful green eyes, huge grin. Charming Ottawa Valley boy.

Still have a fever.  Not particularily happy today.  I was to start Full Fluids yesterday and every meal brought up was the same thing.  The jello/gel I can not eat, tea (?) and orange juice.  This morning the same thing.  The nurses call down to ask what the heck and the kitchen say "next meal".  Someone scrounged up some cream of wheat for me and my wonderful nurse has been stealing broth off of other trays for me. All other care has been amazing but this is ridiculous.

I found the nurses on 9 great.

Sorry you're having trouble with your meals!  I was at TEGH and everything went like clockwork.  Surgery on Wednesday (and nothing to eat or drink at all the rest of that day!), then clear fluids on Thursday, then full fluids on Friday, and I got out before noon on Friday.  I would be very frustrated in your place if they kept sending clear fluids past the time full fluids were to start!

I'm glad you have nurses helping you out with this.

I hope you can go home soon.  Good luck!  I agree with the others though - better to be in the hospital if they have any concerns at all.

I hope you get to go home soon, but better safe than sorry!  I wish I lived closer to Toronto - I'd bring you some cream of wheat and broth.  Can't believe they're messing that up, it's not that difficult!

Rest up I hope your fever breaks soon!
