Introducing myself
Hi My name is Jamie, age 35 from Kitchener. I am having my post op diet class in Guelph on Nov. 20th after just receiving green lights from SW, Dietician and Nurse. I will meet the surgeon sometime after that.
I am really nervous, freaking out about the optifast diet; wondering how i`ll ever make it through those 2 weeks!!
surgery scares the crap out of me too! I have two children at home, a 3 yr old daughter and a 13 yr old son.
Would love to connect with some others going through guelph.

Welcome to the forum.
Don`t freak out about Optifast. There are a multitude of ways to doctor it to get it down. If you only have two weeks, it will fly by. I did three week of Opti and did all chocolate flavoured :)
Being obese, or morbidly obese should scare the crap out of you more than surgery. Won`t it be nice to enjoy life more being healthier? Spending better time with your kids.....having more energy?
All the best.....you can do it!

Hi and welcome. It's normal to be scared as you get closer to the surgery. As mentioned, a shorter lifespan from co-morbidities from the extra weight is pretty darn scary too.
I liked Optifast, to me it was simple and delicious. Don't freak out until you try it.
