Referral Re-Faxed and Resubmitted. Again.

I have kept in touch with a nice woman named Jaclyn at the bariatric registry and sure enough, my referral was lost in the shuffle. I just spent all afternoon calling and emailing between the registry and my doc's office. So my referral was just refaxed again. Back to square one.

 

This has not been fun. Not one thing has went as planned. I've been trying for months just to get my name on the registry and have gotten nowhere. Blah.

I'm sorry to hear that!  Jaclyn is really helpful - hopefully she can help get this fixed for you!

I understand your frustration ... it took over a year till I got a referral ... seems they had both my surname misspelled as well as my postal code wrong ...

Ironically, now that I am in the system, I've come to learn that the surgery is being performed at my local hospital so I have placed a transfer ... let's see how long this takes ...

Um... mine was lost like yours... Not sure which place you will end up with but just keep telling them you will make yourself available because your referral was originally lost, etc. etc.

So very sorry to hear that Melissa. I can only imagine the frustration you must be feeling

Don't know if you will get the same result but it is worth a try. My doctor faxed mine in as she was unaware that it had to be submitted online. My registration ended up at the weight mgt clinic. So my doctor had her assistant call the registry and ask them to get me into the next info session. She explained the mixup and that I shouldn't have to go to the back of the line becauof it. She was really adamant and went to bat for me.
