Ottawa hotels

My file is finally being sent from Kingston to Ottawa... Yay!! Feeling like I should start planning. Can anyone recommend a good hotel to stay at afterwards?

The Civic has an interns' residence that is right beside the hospital and has different configurations of rooms. The number is 613-761-5434. When I called a 1 bedroom suite was around $80/night.

 

The travel lodge and best western are close by. You don't have to pay for parking. Ask for a hospital rate... At the travel lodge it was 89$

You put in the maximum price you will pay and the different hotels will bid on your offer. We got a beautiful large one bedroom suite for $100 per night....full kitchen, large bathroom, living room.

We could have gotten a room at a regular hotel for a great price too but we were staying in Ottawa for over a week so we wanted the freedom of not being crammed in a hotel room for that period of time.

 

We stayed (my hubby, my Mom and son) at the Res on site right next to the hospital. It was about the same as a hotel but essentially like having your own apartment and 10 steps away from the hospital. If you're there when its warm I saw a pool and there's a laundry room on site too.
