So I just purchased the FitBit One - step counter. I have entered in all my info and I have accomplished 5832 steps so far today. it shows i have also accomplished my calories burning goals(2323 calories burned).  I have also entered in all the foods and waters that i have taken in today as well but its saying I have taken in 1118 calories and saying I should take in another 737 calories. I have not had the WLS yet but I'm trying to lose some weight before hand as well... do I really need to eat that many more calories??

yes, if you're not eating the required calories fitbit will electronically report you to your wls centre and they will know you are not obeying...  just kidding...  go in under help and ask how to change the number of calories needed...

Ian .... ROFL.... So "that" is why so many OH members have a fitbit.

It is a complot?    I did not know that.

Judge your success by what you had to give up in order to get it.

Have you changed your settings to show that you're trying to Lose instead of Gain or Maintain? That's what I'd suggest. :)

Oh, and piece of advice: ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS make sure you know where your Fitbit is BEFORE laundry. Mine got washed, and it's been in rice for two days and still doesn't work. Don't make the same mistake I did!

the advice on the clothes, right on!  Have lost one to the washer so far and now can't find mine anywhere!  Piss me off!  They are a challenge to keep track of!

Thanks, I did have it set to lose weight already but I didn't know I could change the amount of calories in there. I did that last night. Thanks for your helpful tips :) I will always remember where my fitbit is before doing laundry. I hope yours comes back and can continue to use it!!
