One day post op!
Well, surgery was yesterday and from what I hear, all went as planned. The staff here at the Guelph general is amazing. I'm sure, not overly in pain though. Morphine stopped early this morning and I've been on Tylenol since. Drinking water is tough. About 3 seconds after I swallow, I get the stomach pain which feels more like pressure. I'm to be busting out of here tomorrow. Been a busy week, i'm in Guelph and my step mom is in the London hospital after some surgery she had. As I live alone, I plan to stay at my dad's the next few nights. I am hoping it isn't too difficult to get out of a flat laying down type of bed.

Welcome to the bench, Lindsay! (From another Lindsay!) I would recommend a surplus of pillows to help prop you up a bit in bed, and a pillow for the ride home if possible!

I rented a bed rail - which is awesome for lowering yourself down and getting up - also really good for repositioning:) I'm 3 weeks post op & still using it sometimes - although I really don't need it anymore. Happy recovery!
