Has anyone heard or tried the new "all natural" product called Viviscal?  This product has been praised for promoting hair regrowth, strength and fulless?

My plan is to buy it and ask a nurse during my one month follow-up.

I wouldn't waste my money on products like that. When you stop losing weight your hair will grow back. It's an inconvenience most would be happy to have for the short term.

True....but a little help wouldn't be so bad. Its not the fallout I'm worried about..rather strength.

A lot of those products... biotin, etc will promote hair growth. Like... everywhere. Facial, arms, legs, etc. It does not discriminate.

The hair loss we experience is called Telogen Effluvium. You can click the blue link, google it, or just simply search "hair loss after surgery". It can happen with any surgery. Even child birth. It has nothing to do with weight loss. It's also temporary. Your hair follicles fall asleep, hair loss occurs, and then it wakes up again - good as new.

If you are looking to spend money on something that will strengthen your hair. Find a salon that sells the Loreal Pureology line & buy the strength cure line. I had no hair loss & I attribute it to this product. I have fine over processed hair as well

Not everyone suffers hair loss. I've had multiple surgeries under full anaesthesia, and didn't have any problems after any of them.

I had a lot of hair loss from surgery and being post menopausal.  I use a supplement from Vita Tree (Toronto naturopath) called Hair, skin and nails (available on Shopping Channel Canada).  It helped tremendously and is cheaper than viviscal.  Yes you do grow hair everywhere and will need to more landscaping but it does work.  My hairdresser was impressed.  I tried Aveda program and Chi program for hair loss with absolutely no results.  If I stop using it I notice my nails first of all breaking and getting brittle.  I have been very pleased and won't be without this product.
