Congratulations Camperguy! Glad to hear your surgery is complete and you're already off some meds. Amazing! No doubt recovery takes time. Whether you're home or in Sauble... as long as you're comfortable and have support, pick the one you prefer! And if you change your mind, go to the other place. Nowhere is permanent.

What made you go with the sleeve over RNY? I was planning on it too but it turns out my esophagus thinks otherwise and I'm not a good candidate.

Glad to hear your surgery went well. I had the VSG done just over 3 months ago, by Dr. Foute-Nelong too. He's a great surgeon. Yes the gas pains were not fun. Pain wise I was pleasantly surprised by how little pain I had from incisions, but those gas pains did me in. Took a week or so to get that out of my system, but got better everyday.
Sauble beach is one of my favourite places, your so lucky to have a trailer up there. My uncle had a cottage on boat lake just outside of Wiarton, so we spent our summers up there as kids. We still make a family trip of it every summer, and now my nieces and nephew get to enjoy the area up there. So jealous lol
Hopefully its not a long drive from where you live, because bumpy roads I did not like on the way home lol or early out in my recovery.
