TWH not giving surgery dates right now
Hi all,
I had my Meet the Surgeon today at TWH. It went really well, and they moved me forward for surgery. Except! They are so backlogged, they are not currently handing out surgery dates. Instead, I got a letter saying I will get a call in the next few weeks with a date when they work out a plan to clear the backlog.
I have asked to be put on a cancellation list, so who knows! I'm ever optimistic. :)
I just wanted to give a head's up to anyone with Meet the Surgeon appointments coming up at TWH about the backlog.

They didn't say what their solution was, just that they were working on one.
I'll post when I know more. :)
Glad you were able to get the transfer. I hear that really reduced wait times for people back in that period of time!

I had my meet the surgeon appointment today as well at TWH and was given the same letter and was advisd of the back log as well. I had anticipated that I would have my surgery by the end of the year and hopefully that is still the case as I am mentally prepared and the sooner the better. I will absolutely think positively and hope we both hear something soon.
