Another photo update
Hi everyone,
I got a haircut today - long overdue - and a gf asked me to send her a picture. When I took it, I was yet again amazed at the difference between my "now" photo and my before.
Pictures really do show weight loss better than a mirror does!
So here is my before and "during"... down about 51 lbs. The before pic was taken on day 5 of Opti, one and a half weeks before surgery, so technically I had probably lost a couple of pounds by then!!
For all you pre-op folks, this is less than 3 months, or with Opti, right about 3 months. It's an amazing journey. :)

Hey! Sorry for the late reply. I'm in my first post op cold of the season. Having a toddler it's no surprise. We'll see how I fare at the end of the week when I weigh in. It's hard to get protein in when you just want soup and toast. Hopefully it's short lived. I don't even know if there are bariatric appropriate cold syrups. I'm sticking to Tylenol cold pills for now but my throat is killing!
Other than that I'm great! Hit 50lbs down last week!! This month I'm not sure where I'll land but it's coming off. I did a face to face too and was floored at the difference. It looks like I lost a few pounds off my face alone! My mum said it took ten years off me. I'll take it. I guess 40 really is the new 30! lol

Sorry to learn about your cold, but yahoo about your results!
Congratulations on 50 lbs down. That's amazing :) I don't know about cold meds - keep watch on your throat to make sure it's just a cold. I know my immune system was really compromised in the beginning.
Yay at looking 10 years younger. That's the best!

As for my cold, I definitely went down quick. My toddler got sick and the next day it was my turn. My partner picked me up some throat coat tea and sugar free throat lozenges so that's helping. Hopefully I get over it quickly.
