Anybody have to buy their own insurance for WLS?

My employer does not provide insurance and I don't make enough to self pay, I have two options: 1-Buy my own insurance. Anybody been approved in Oregon and with what company/policy? 2-Get a new job. Anybody know of a company that is hiring and has killer benefits? Say, a good insurance policy that doesn't hassle you for WLS approval? I have asked these questions so many times and can't find a living soul in Oregon who has done this without self pay or employer insurance, I am more than willing to buy my own, but there are so many polices that I have found and I want to know what other people have experienced. Thank you!

I was very lucky that my husbands employer, Intel, has great insurance coverage with Cigna/Intel. They paid for my band surgery in September, 2002. Hope that this helps! Becca
