When we had our nutrition class the RD said that we needed to establish eating patterns because we would not be hungry after surgery - I thought "yeah, right!" but now I know what she is talking about! I am not hungry and am yuck oh about food. I will eat. I need to get in my protein but Ick!

The difference post-surgery is that for some, we must eat by the clock (unfortunately, I was not so lucky (lol)), due to a change in tastebuds and/or lack of desire.  The desired amounts to eat are as your surgeon told you and if you do not meet those goals, you can actually hurt your weightloss.  If this persists, speak to your surgeon or nutritionist, as they can guide you according to their guidelines.
