4 months into 6 month diet - check

Select a surgeon relatively close - check

Had blood work done and correcting vitamin deficiencies - check

I AM SO EXCITED TO BE ON MY WAY!! Met my surgeon yesterday, did not expect him to be so darn good looking. Like distractingly good looking *fans face*. He has only done about 800 WL surgeries, is this a small number or average?? He has never had a death and only one complication from RNY and one from a sleeve. Oh and the best part!! No liquid diet before surgery!! Just a low fat, high protein diet yay!! I can handle that but I cannot handle being hungry like the people on liquid diets report, that is why I am fat because I panic when I get hungry.

Very exciting stuff! congrats! I may have a small crush on my surgeon as well. He is a very handsome man. Last visit he hugged me and i couldve melted right there in his arms! Dont get me wrong! I am a happily married woman but geez! hes just so handsome!

I am no expert but 800 sounds like a lot of surgeries to me.  If he does 2 a week for 50 weeks a year then that would be 8 years of surgery. You are lucky no liquid diet!!! Enjoy the view of his face from the OR table!!!

No food restriction for me except for the standard no eating/drinking after midnight (I always feel like a Gremlin when they say this).  I just have to take a Pepcid the night before and the morning of.

HW: 333; Weight at 1st visit: 318.6; SW: 304.4; CW: 218.4

HA! If his face is the last one I see from the OR table I will have great dreams while being under! This forum helps so much, it really helps to hear all of your stories (like seriously the most minimal details of the whole thing absolutely fascinate me) as it helps me feel better prepared.

800 surgeries is plenty.  I'm sure you'll be in capable hands.

It must be a "thing" because I have a crush on my surgeon too!
