Good morning JB and menu folks! Life has been busy! I am still doing well, mounjaro has been in short supply, I had to drop down a dose for last month and was scrambling to find my regular dose with my latest refill and it came into stock at the last moment, so I am happy about that.

Dad is still in the rehab center, is too long a story to share...he is trying ...he turned 80 on March 15 while we were in Florida. In a nutshell, I think we can never underestimate the mental aspect, he seems to be improving his patience and not as discouraged and is having more good days, than bad. He has parkinsons to deal with on top of the rehab and parkinsons is not always on the same page. Hoping he is out by the end of this month and ok to travel by the middle of next month. Alot of moving parts, a lift going in to their home in FL and a ramp at their cottage in NY.

QOTD - Mounjaro has not only helped to get my a1c under control, it has stopped the noise. Zero Grazing, zero interest in food. November 19, 2024 I will hit the 10 year mark since surgery! The 2nd best decision of my life! The first was marrying my lovely wife joddie.

Good morning JB and menu friends. Dad was transferred on Monday from the hospital to the VA Short stay rehab facility, no further bouts of confusion now that he is back on his regular medication regimen and hydrated. His PT is going really well and they are concentrating on the things that will get him home. He will always walk with a walker, the little things like getting in and out of bed, up and down a chair ( He does have a power lift, but tries not to use it) and going to the bathroom. We are hoping that he will be released to go home within 2 weeks!

My promotion was officially announced yesterday. I am not motivated by titles ( Procurement Director), but, I am pleased that I am recognized by the COO and Owner. We are finalizing testing on a new fragrance filling line that is being built in France and should take receipt in April. Will increase capacity by 50% and reduce the labor required by 50%.

I will have to post some pictures of Chloe - she is tall and lanky and already 31 lbs!

QOTD - I want to try Pickleball! I was asked to join a group in the village, the person that asked assumed I was retired...LOL... they play during the weekdays.

Good morning JB and menu friends. I had a really rough week last week, previous week I had covid, last week started and my butt was dragging, by the end of the week I was feeling really bad, sinus infection, fever, chills, quiet weekend. Chloe got into SF cough drops at the end of last week and had some explosive bouts of diarhea, we spoke with the vet , sent the ingredients list and had to let it run its course, she seems to be enjoying her new diet f chicken and rice.

Really need some positive vibes for my dad, things are not going well at rehab. He is having extreme bouts of confusion, they are not giving his parkinsons meds on time, ( he has had success for many years following his regimen to a T) and he is still weak. They are saying 4 weeks now, instead of 2. I may move our trip up if possible. Joddie feels the issue is called sundowning and is common with the elderly in these settings. It is very hard on my Mom. Ryley is in Florida and this is very hard on him right now as well. We need to get him to the point to get out of there, even if it means home health aids, his mental health is suffering since he has been there.

I did hit goal of 195lbs, but not surprising after the weekend I had with zero interest in food.

QOTD - I really like my DR office, they respond to my patient portal requests within 2 hours and are very accomodating.
