Question about revision recovery?

Due to an ulcer that has torn open the stitching in my stomach I will probably have to have revision surgery done. I meet with the Dr next week. 

I am wondering how this surgery compares to the original and what the recovery is like and how about eating? Will I have to spend the next 6 months to a year getting to eat normal again?

would love to hear from anyone who has been through this before?
