Hi,

Sorry to butt in here, but I just wanted to let you know that a lady by the name of Lorna King runs a support group monthly in Saskatoon.  It's primarily lap band patients but it's support and there may be other surgery type folks there too.  If there are other support groups, I'll bet Lorna would be able to help you with that.

I think the next meeting is April 18th??  I'm not a hundred percent sure of that but she is a great lady and I'm sure she would be able to help you.

Here is her email addy...

Sorry it took me so long to get back to you, PeanutFreeMom, but wannabehealthy45 is correct. We would love to be able to expand into Saskatoon to address the needs of WLS patients, but are having a difficult time finding a Support Group Leader for that area.

Lorna is a great person, and as an RN, knows a lot about aftercare. If she does not know something, feel free to e-mail me at [email protected] and I will find an answer for you.
