How in the world...
I have the same thinking - that eventually I HAVE to lose weight on this amount of calories/food, but then my emotions get the best of me and I start panicking.
The body is a weird and mysterious thing.
Something that helped me was a saying from a support group. There's three golden "P" rules to Weight Loss.
Patience, Persistence and Perserverence
Don't worry...Your stall shall pass.

When I went for my 6 month post-op visit last month, the surgeon told me to expect a slow down in weight loss. He warned me to not get discouraged. It's hard not to, but I'm in week 2 of a stall. I seem to have this pattern now....stall 3 weeks, lose 5-6 lb, then stall again for 3 weeks. I'm hoping after another week of this, I'll lose that 5-6 lb again (actually hoping for 7 because then I'll be in onederland!).
Hang in there. Keep doing what you;re doing. Like someone else said, it's harder to lose when we weigh less than we used to. I think we got used to seeing the scale move downward almost daily, so it makes it that much harder to see it not move at all.
