Somebody a week or so ago....  posted about a Lavash Bread by Joseph's Bakery. I could not find it here in San Fran. I found the next best thing at Whole Foods. The numbers are not quite as good....But workable.

Tonight I made a Pizza with the stuff..... Awesome !!!!!

The bread comes in 8"x10" sheets. I used a third of a sheet. 46 cal. 6.6 carb. I must also note I only ate half.

Flatbread Pizza "il frisco"

- 2 slices chopped up salami
- chopped chicken breast bits
- chopped artichoke hearts
- sliced cherry tomato's
- brusceta sauce from Trader Joe's
- graded Mozzarella cheese

Buon Appetito

This looks great! Can I ask: does it get really cruncy, or stay soft? I can't seem to tolerate any soft carbs...they just ball up and stay right at the top of my stomach making me very uncomfortable...I would love to make some pizza with this if it gets really crunchy. Thanks!

It's comes out pretty firm.... but to get it crunchy.... you could coat the bottom of it with butter or olive oil...

or coat it with butter olive oil first.... put it in the oven and krisp it a little before you built the pizza.

I know this will probably not sound too good, however, when I was in Arizona last week I went to a place where there  specialty was a Hawaiian type Lavash.  They had ham, mandarin oranges, pineapple and shredded coconut wtih cheese.  I forgot the name of the cheese, I think it started with a "D", however, it was mozzarella like, but tasted so much better.
Again, I know it sounds sort of weird, but my sister and I thought it tasted good.
