I got a sample of this at a trade show, and it is amazing! It is real chocolate, not gritty like the chews I have tried. I got it from drugstore.com but apparently it's at whole foods now too.

Thanks for the info...is it calcium carbonate or citrate? I read somewhere that the carbonate can cause kidney stones.

Never heard of the kidney stone thing so I can't confirm that, but the calcium citrate is supposed to be more readily absorbed. The carbonate requires an acidic environment which we don't provide anymore. Supposedly, the citrate is easier absorbed by everybody, not just post WLS patients, but it's also more expensive.

Edited to add: Looking at the site, it's calcium carbonate

I asked them about that at the show, and they said to take them with food to help absorption. They also said something about the fat in the chocolate helping to.
