I was reading the other day that the cholesterol drug, Zocor, when given in higher doses can cause kidney problems.  TODAY I read that studies have shown that the diabetes drug, Actos, increases  your risk of bladder cancer.  I am on both of these, plus a couple more that probably have lovely 'perks'.

So, I take these meds to help control conditions I have, only to increase my risk of developing a few others down the road.  This just strengthens my resolve that VSG is the right thing to do.  Lose the pounds, get off the meds, die from old age.  Sounds good to me!

I was taking about 40 pills before surgery, 5 for blood pressure, 5 for diabeties..etc........................ now all I take is the vitamins and supplements we need after surgery.
