Finally Home...again!

Well I had my surgery on Tuesday with little problems.  I was in no pain with no pain killers.  They let me go home the next day at 3 pm.  I got home and took a nap.  When I woke up I had a fever of 100.3.  My release paperwork said to call if over 100 degrees.  I called and they wanted me to come in.

An hour and a half later I arrived.  They re-admited me.  By the next morning I had a 102 degree fever and a pulse of 138 per minute.  I was worried.  They did find that I had a UTI but wanted to make sure I didn't have a leak, so I went for a CAT scan.  I had to swallow 100 cc's of contrast and lay down and chug 50 more cc's of contrast.  My tummy was not happy.  NO leak.  I was relieved to say the least.

They did more tests to make sure it was just the UTI causing my symptoms.  I am now home with an antibiotic and no fever.

I am happy that I am home and leak free.  Looking back I know what caused my UTI.  I had a pinched foley for 3 hours the day of surgery.

Wow hon, so sorry you had to go through all that.
How are you now? Did fever make you feel weaker?

Just wanted to offer my support and glad you are home again. Continued good healing~

Warmly, Jan

Congrats on your recovery and glad it was not more serious. May the rest of your recovery be as positive as mine.

Thank you all. It has been an easy recovery except this scare. They didn't think it was a leak because I was in no pain and fine otherwise.

I am glad to be sleeved and home.
