 I know it's likely that your appeal is what made Premera Blue Cross change their "investigational" policy & just want to thank you!  Even though my surgery preceded the date when they changed their policy, they're gonna cover me!!!!!!!  I've been waiting for a denial so I could appeal, and I called them, and they told me that had an authorization for the sleeve with my surgeon just waiting to be billed.  Hallelujah!

Yay!! I don't know for sure how much influence I had in their decision, but I like to think that my letter could have been the straw that broke the camel's back (no doubt they were seeing more and more VSG requests coming in).

Glad to hear they'll cover you, as well they should! ;)
