Too soon for bloodwork?

Hey there-

I'll be 8 weeks out this week, my progress is going very very slow- the joy.

Anyway, I have my annual gyn exam this week and she usually does the normal cholesterol, thyroid, cbc, type blood tests but I'm wondering if I should ask for any other blood tests? Perhaps because I am progressing so slow and it's only 8 weeks out it's too soon?

When did you have your first bloods pulled??

You lost 44 lbs in 8 weeks??  If so...I don't think you are going slow at all!! 

I didn't have my blood drawn until my 6 month visit.  (but I had emergency gb surgery at 3 months so they did blood work then)

My surgeon did blood work at 3 months. And will do again at 6months. They test for things that your ob/gyn would not normally test for.  You should have her hold off on her test in case they will be dupilcates.  Your insurance may not pay for the same test 1 month apart.

My Dr does the first bloodwork 6 weeks after surgery.

Sorry, I should have said my recovery is going very slow. I am losing but I'malso having a lot of issues.

I'll check with my surgeon and see what his schedule is.
