Blood clot

Did anyone spit up a blood clot post-op? I coughed up a blood clot about the size of a grape today. 4 days post-op. Anyone else experience this?

I think this would definitely be a reason for you to call your doctor... just to be on the safe side.. I know my surgeon told me that there could be some blood in my stool post op for the first, maybe second bowel movement, but spitting up a blood clot would make me nervous.

No I had a lot of dried blood nose crusties and some streaked mucus (snot) for a day or two. They said it was fom dryness because of the oxygen. That cleared out after a few nose blows. Contact you Dr. right away. I hope it's nothing serious. Keep us posted!

I did...for the first two days....scared me so badly! I had horrid nausea and spent all of that time vomiting. The nurse told me it was blood and clots from surgery.

Since your is so far out from surgery, I would definitely check with your doc,
