Weight gain

Did anyone else gain weight from surgery day to the time you got home? I gained a whole 10#s in the hospital. I'm guessing all the IV fluids. I got at least 6 liters while there. Since getting home yesterday I've already lost 5.5 of those 10#s .

I had read here that weight gain after the surgery is normal, due to all of the IV fluids, so I didn't panic.  I was up 13 lbs., which within a couple of days, went down quickly to only +3 lbs, where it stayed until I finally took care of the stubborn constipation I was experiencing.  Now I'm finally slightly less than my pre-surgery weight.

Good luck hon, Jan

Bot with this surgery but I was only there about 30 hours.  With both of my c-sections I came out of the hospital weighing the same as I went in.  Even though both of my kids were good size!  It's jus****er weight. Some easy walking will help you flu**** out.

I gained like 15 pounds. They pumped me full of fluids because for the first couple of days they were worried about my urine output. It started coming off about a week out.
