I should probably know this already, but I don't...

Do you know of a website that lists VSG friendly snacks and recipes?  For example, a list of high protein snacks that are yummy?

You could always search Frisco and his food porn. There are some good recipes on the eggface website.

Thanks!  Their stuff is great, but a little too fancy for me (for the most part).  I'm not much of a cook, and am looking for less fancy recipes.  I also need high protein snack ideas beyond my go-to snacks of soynuts and jerky.  I wish I could have nuts as a snack, but they make me feel icky :(

I don't know where I got these recipes but they're really easy. I am also a minimalist cook. Don't like anything too complicated. Although I do make a number of eggface dinners.

I don't like jerky so I take a serving of the Hormel Turkey Pepperoni. Lay them out on a paper towel. Microwave for about 1 1/2 mins. Blot with another paper towel. Microwave again for about 1 min. or until they are as crispy as you want.

Instead of soy nuts---wash and drain a can of garbanzo beans. Dry, dry, dry them. Let them sit on a paper towel for awhile to dry out (this is important).  Mix a tiny bit of oil with a little salt, pepper and spice (cayenne, red pepper flakes, etc). Mix beans with oil and spices, lay out on a baking sheet and cook for about 45 mins at 400. Til they get crunchy.

These are really easy things to make.

Edited--Here's another website http://www.genaw.com/lowcarb/recipes.html

She is amazing!  She had RYN a few years ago, but the recipes work well for us, too.  She has recipes for protein ICE CREAM!!, protein cake, lots of shakes, PIZZA!!, as well as tons other yummy dishes!  It is a blog, but it's huge and full of very useful info.

I hope you find what you're looking for.  =)

What about a low carb sort of site, like low carb friends?  I dunno, I just end up making up things based on what I like and my give-a-**** level at the moment.

One of my many past diet doings in the past was kimkins, which is essentially a low fat low carb thing, and I cruise through there if I am looking for specific snacks or meals or whatever.  But low carb friends has good stuff that is not crazy fanceee stuff.
