Protein ????
If your proteinex is a non-clear drink, then any powder should be OK. If it's clear, you'll need clear powders like the Nectars.
If you can have chocolate, my favorite very affordable good quality protein is Body Fortress Super Advanced Whey - $14.98 for a 2 lb tub (over 30 servings) at Walmart. It has a good chocolate taste...I add less than a teaspoon of Hersheys Dark Chocolate cocoa (half a teaspoon for a single scoop shake) because I like that extra rich chocolate taste. Another tip is about 5 eyedropper size drops of peppermint extract to make a mint-chocolate-chip kind of taste (a little peppermint extract goes a long way!).
My husband has been unemployed since month 3 and I have LIVED on this stuff the last 4 months - it's about the only protein supplement I can afford.
