Vitamins

 My VSG surgery date is 4/9/12. I have been trying a few of the vitamins that my doc. gave me samples of. The chewables seem chalky and the sublingual (sic?) are ok. Does anyone have a favorite or other alternative?  Thanks.

My surgeon endorses Bariatric Advantage...he has a rep in his office every thursday and friday...i was able to sample all the different flavors and order the ones that were best to me...I have to say, they all were much better than i thought they would be...i told myself that, at least for first two months post op, i was going to pay the money for the Bariatric Advantage products...then once i know what i have to have regularly, i can try to venture out to find cheaper alternatives...but i want to make sure i'm doing it right immediately after!

I have yet to find any worth while Vit. that dont make me sick. MY latest and greatest try was Liquid Centrum... as soon as it hits my stomach i want to puke, which is what im finding with alot of them. I would try as many as you can only bad thing is my tastes changed and what i could handle, im doing chewable- gritty not gummy- for now, bc 5-6 of those are better then nothing! Good luck

I have found that using pill form is best. I eat and then as soon as Iam done take a very small amout of water to take my pills . As long as I am on a full stomach I am good. Found that out the hard way .. Empty stomach + vitamins = throw up..

Thanks for the replies. I'll try the Bariatric Adv. and the others. My doc doesn't recommend one brand over another per say, just that I need certain supplements plus a multi. Seams the multi is the most difficult to find one I like.
