No. Having any surgery for the purpose of weight loss is an automatic disqualification. They just can't accept people with altered eating plans. And even with the VSG, you will have an altered eating plan. If you were given 10 minutes for lunch, you could never eat enough during that time to sustain yourself. You could never chug water to hydrate yourself in very limited time. It's just not safe for them to take you, and they won't.

Matter of fact while I was in the Army we discharged a soldier who flew to Mexico and did it on their own dime. You cannot serve with any sort of WLS.
